Cohen Sitter Service is a company dedicated to caring for your kids and furry loved ones. With an on-call vet 24/7, you can finally take a vacation without worry about your pets. Sit back at the tropical islands or relax on a seven-day cruise worry free. We, at Cohen Sitter Service, take full care of your ENTIRE family in the comfort of your own home. We offer the option to stay the night with your loved ones, in your own home. We also offer the option to just come over and visit a few times a day or a week. We also provide nanny services. With our customizable pricing, get the care you want, and don’t pay for things you don’t need. Unlike other companies, you can choose to do contactless payments. So, you can pay online, or pay in person!

How It Works

Fill out the client intake form which you can access here. That will give us the general information for us to know before reaching out to you.
Once we receive all the information, we will send you an estimate of the breakdown of what everything will cost so that there are no surprises. (medication dispense is extra depending on what the medication is used for)
Once, you approve the estimate, someone from our office will schedule a meet & greet. The meet & greet is for the client to see us in person and ask us any questions they may have. For us, we will ask some questions depending on which service you request such as; pet sitter, live-in pet sitter, & house sitter. The meet & greet can last between 15 minutes to an hour. For the sitter at Cohen Sitter Service, it’s to get familiar of the animal’s routine because we try our best to replicate the animal’s schedule as best to our ability. We will ask the clients some questions about their home routines, canines, felines, pigs, horses, etc.
An additional option for the client to fill our veterinarian consent form in case of an emergency, where they would like us to take them, whether it’s their preferred veterinarian, our veterinarian, or animal hospital open 24/7 that’s located closest to their home.
Once, the service is completed, the client will receive the invoice the day after the service is completed. The payment is expected upon you receiving the invoice.

We believe it takes at least 3 hours once the animals are adjusted with each other and can get familiar of the sitter’s home. The animals will be treated like part of our family. They will have free range of the house except the cats’ room and they will be able to be on the furniture and sleep with us on the bed. The animals will be encouraged to go potty from the moment we wake up and to go to bed and every 2-3 hours in between. We offer dry food, wet food, treats and snacks and of course certified drinking water from Publix with added Oravet (it helps prevent bad breath since our dogs unfortunately have bad breath). If the owners prefer their own belongings such as, blanket, bed, food and treats, that is also encouraged.

We will ask the clients some questions about their home routines, children’s routines, and house rules.
An additional option for the client to fill our parent consent and contact forms in case of an emergency. We recommend parents to fill out the parent consent form and contact form which states, during an emergency the parent and the guardian cannot be reached, you are allowing us to take them to their respective emergency clinic, pediatrician, or family doctor. Of course, we will contact the parent and guardian through phone call, text messages, and lastly e-mail and continue to update them along the way until the child is released from the clinic or when the parent/guardian arrives to the scene.
Once, the service is completed, the client will receive the invoice the day after the service is completed. The payment is expected upon you receiving the invoice.

On April 4th, we took our new puppy to the Cohens sitter services. I was a bit nervous to leave my 4-month-old Jack Russell puppy with strangers for the first time. We met the sitters the day before so that our puppy can get acquainted with the sitters, their home, and their two small dogs. At first, they were all skeptical of each other, some barking went on and after some coaching, they started running around the back yard as new friends. The next day, we took her back and she enjoyed herself. Throughout the day, Mrs. Clark sent us pictures and updated information about our puppy. We were so glad that things went well for her. I can tell you without a doubt that the Clarks are genuinely nice, and they really care about my pet. They are licensed, bonded, and have their veterinarian on speed dial. No worries here, everything is covered. A side note: she even taught our puppy some basic lessons for which we were grateful.

An excellent first experience for me. I will definitely use their service again. I truly recommend them to anyone.

We recently moved to Florida for a year-long stay. We were looking for a house and pet sitter while we are down here and received Shirley's contact from a neighbor. I was impressed with Shirley from the beginning - she had a detailed questionnaire and was incredibly thorough with her questions. You could tell she was a pro! Having Shirley be a former vet tech added an extra layer of comfort. Shirley was perfectly communicative during our trip and was incredibly responsive. My cat, Sassy, just had an poor experience with a neighbor feeding and taking care of her at the beginning of December, 2022. I had to leave town for 3 days in the middle of the month and had Cohen Sitter Service take care of her. Sassy was still on medicines from the veterinary; which was not a problem at all with Cohen Sitter Service. Sassy was visited twice daily, received her wet food timely as well as her medicines. The litter box was cleaned twice a day also. I received photos as well as comments that she was doing well. My house was also treated with great respect; everything in its place, locked, and security alarm set with each visit. It was with great confidence that I left Sassy, especially knowing that she would be getting her medicines from trained individuals who were keeping close watch on her. If needed, Sassy would have been taken to the veterinary. Everything was absolutely ideal, from my first call, to the 'meet and great' with myself and Sassy, to the service agreement, invoice, and payment, plus the care Sassy received while I was away. I will be utilizing Cohen Sitter Service from now on, even if it is just to give my cat medicine if I can't be home at the time it's necessary to give it to her. We have been customers for a couple years now.We enjoy a lot of outdoor activities in which most are weather dependent.They have been able to accommodate us on about 98% of all our “ No notice “ requests. Never have they once complained of any of our cancellations which again are sometimes frequent because of the weather. But most of our dogs like them.

Shirley and Steven were great sitters, watching our 3 crazy pups while we went on vacation. This was our first time... ever leaving the dogs, but they made us feel comfortable in our decision.
